Child & Youth Interventions

At Foster Kinship, we believe children heal in relationships.

Our Child & Youth Interventions program provides trauma-informed support for children and youth being raised by relatives and trusted adults.

Many children in kinship care have experienced parental separation, abuse, neglect, grief, or family crisis. These experiences can impact emotional well-being, behavior, and relationships, but healing is possible. Through safe, supportive relationships and intentional programming, children can build resilience and thrive.

Our Child & Youth Interventions include youth support groups, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional activities that promote healing and healthy development. These services function as respites to give caregivers safe breaks for self-care, strengthening family stability and preservation.

All Child & Youth Intervention services are grounded in Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), an evidence-based approach designed for children who have experienced trauma or disrupted relationships. TBRI® helps children heal by building connection, felt safety, and emotional regulation.
