Sometimes there is no warning.

No crib. No clothes. No plan. Just a child who needs family.

More than 30,000 children across Nevada are growing up outside of their parents’ care, and incredible relatives are stepping up to keep them safe, loved, and connected to family.

But stepping up comes with enormous challenges: financial hardship, trauma, legal barriers, and the sudden responsibility of raising children again.
