Every family's journey is different. Our Intake & Assessment process is designed to help us understand your unique situation, identify your goals, and connect you with the programs, services, and resources that best meet your needs. Whether you are a kinship caregiver, adoptive parent, legal guardian, or birth parent, this is often the first step toward receiving support from Foster Kinship.
Finding support can feel overwhelming, especially when you're navigating significant family changes. Our Intake & Assessment process helps simplify that first step.
During your intake, you'll meet with a member of our team who will take time to learn about your family, your circumstances, your strengths, and any challenges you may be facing. We understand that every family's situation is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
The goal of the intake process is not to evaluate or judge your family. Instead, it helps us identify opportunities for support and connect you with the services that best fit your needs.
If you are caring for a relative's child or serving as fictive kin, we can help you understand available resources, financial supports, legal options, and programs that may benefit your family.
Families who have achieved permanency through adoption or guardianship often continue to face challenges related to trauma, adjustment, and long-term family stability. Our team can connect you to services that support your ongoing journey.
Birth parents can access programs and services focused on strengthening family relationships, supporting reunification efforts, and building long-term stability.
Following your intake, our team may connect you with case management, support groups, trainings, therapeutic services, child and youth programs, community resources, or other services that align with your family's goals.
No matter where you are in your journey, you do not have to navigate it alone.
